Cotton batting production, by comparison, depends on agricultural output, meaning raw material prices can fluctuate significantly based on cotton harvests, weather conditions, and global demand. Processing cotton into consistent, evenly carded batting also tends to involve more traditional, labor-intensive methods, which can make batch-to-batch consistency harder to maintain at large production volumes.
